We wanted just a place to stay the night after visiting the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden AGLOW light display. We got room 1 with the Jacuzzi. I had to wash the tub and surrounding edges before getting in as you could see and feel some scummy stuff. There was plenty of hot water and the tub worked great. The bed was very comfortable. For the price and a simple place to lay your head it was ok. They really need to get a better house keeping staff. The fridge worked but there was someone's food left in it way back under the freezer. The bathroom floor had quite a slant and the shower door didn't open due to the uneven floor. It needs some work but it has the [otential to be a nice place. Just clean it up a little.
They should pay you to stay there.
Bathroom sink would not drain properly
This is the worst place I have ever stayed. The room stunk like decades of mold and cigarette smoke, the floors were unlevel, the fridge didn't work, and the microwave had liquid gooey food in it. The couple in the room next to me screamed and cursed and threatened to kill each other (I wish they had) all night long. At one point I went to my car and slept there. Sleep in your car or just don't travel if you have to stay here. This is an awful, depressing, tragic place. If there was an option to leave negative stars I would. I know this review sounds a little over the top...it isn't.
BEDBUGS!! This place needs to be shut down by the health department ASAP. The room was absolutely filthy. Even the alarm clock on the nightstand was covered in dirt, dust, grime. We should have left immediately and demanded a refund. But we went to the local Ace, got ammonia and rags and cleaned anything and everything we thought we would touch while there. Filthy walls, filthy furniture, lamps...you name it we cleaned it. But we could not clean the disgusting carpet or fix the failing plumbing. Water sprayed back on the wall and down behind the shower surround. I am sure the wall was moldy behind it. The final straw was a bedbug and we left in the middle of the night. No sleep, exhausted and disgusted. We only brought our toiletries in the place, leaving everything else in the car. But we still went to a laundromat immediately to wash and HOT dry anything we had on in that room. This is all true and you can make your decision on whether you will stay at this place.

Great place to stay. Cozy rooms, and very affordable. Management was great, even after I broke the key off in the door. Lol
